How do I request an AWS Health event to test integration with AWS Health?
I want to use an AWS Health event to test integration with AWS Health.
Resolution
If you have a Basic Support plan, then you must upgrade your AWS Support plan to request and use an AWS Health event.
If you have a Developer, Business, or Enterprise Support plan, then you can open a technical support case to request an AWS Health event. You can then use the AWS Health event to test integration with AWS Health.
To request an AWS Health event, complete the following steps:
- Open the AWS Support Center. Or, in the AWS Management Console, choose the question mark icon, and then choose Support Center.
- Choose Create case.
- On the How can we help? page, choose Technical.
- Choose Next step: Additional information.
- For Service, choose Health.
- Choose the Category as Other, and the Severity as General guidance.
- Enter the following information in the case details:
A brief overview of the solution that you're testing
The event date and start time that you want AWS to create the test event for
The AWS Region for the event
The service for the event
The event type category
The event end time (the time when the event ends or ended) - Choose Submit.

This does not match the process to create a case. Step 4 and 5 come before Step 3 - Additional Information, and there is only a text field for details, you cannot enter separate fields as implied in step 6.
