How do I resolve the Snowball Edge marketplace permission error in India?

Short description

To order an AWS Snowball Edge device in India, you must have an AWS India Private Limited (AISPL) account. If your AWS account shows Amazon Web Services, Inc. as the service provider, then you receive a AWS marketplace permission error.

Resolution

To check your service provider, complete the following steps:

1. Open the Billing and Cost Management console.
2. Choose Payment Preferences.
3. Under Payment preferences, look for Service provider.

If your service provider shows Amazon Web Services, Inc., then you receive the following error:

"You don't have the required permission to create this job in your currently assigned marketplace. Please contact your service representative to discuss removing this restriction."

To resolve this error, create an AISPL account. Then, use your AISPL account to order your Snowball Edge device in India.
