I want to get a new return shipping label for my AWS Snowball Edge device.
Resolution
Note: If you receive errors when you run AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI) commands, then see Troubleshooting errors for the AWS CLI. Also, make sure that you're using the most recent AWS CLI version.
To create a new return shipping label for your Snowball Edge device, complete the following steps:
- Run the create-return-shipping-label AWS CLI command:
aws snowball create-return-shipping-label --job-id YOUR_JOB_ID --shipping-option STANDARD
Note: Replace YOUR_JOB_ID with your actual Job ID. The shipping-option parameter is optional.
- Verify the label appears on the LCD screen of your Snowball Edge device.
- Open the AWS Snow Family Management console.
- Select the AWS Region associated with your job ID.
- Search for your job ID.
- Under Job details, choose Return shipping label.
- Choose Download to save the label.
- Print the new shipping label, and then place the label over the LCD screen on your Snowball Edge device.
Note: Do not attach any separate shipping labels to your Snowball Edge device unless specifically instructed by AWS Support.
