To update your service account credentials in WorkSpaces, see [Update the AD Connector account (AD Connector)](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workspaces/latest/adminguide/update-directory-details.html#connect-account).

If you receive a "Your directory needs a credential update" error when you launch a new WorkSpace, then your service account credentials are expired. To resolve this issue, [update the AD Connector service account](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/directoryservice/latest/admin-guide/ad_connector_update_creds.html).
