I can’t make a payment in the AWS Billing and Cost Management console.
Resolution
If the payment shows as Failed, then retry the charge in the AWS Billing and Cost Management console. If the payment continues to fail, then you might need to review your AWS account credentials.
To retry your AWS account credentials, complete the following steps:
Contact your banking institution: Some banks decline charges when the charges are flagged. To address this issue, contact your bank to approve the charge.
Review your credit card limit: Review your credit card limit and the available amount. Make sure that you can cover the outstanding amount for your payment.
Check if the invoice is for a Reserved Instance or for a Savings Plan: If the invoice is for a Reserved Instance or Savings Plan, then the invoice needs to be retried within the same month of purchase. If the initial charge fails and it's no longer within the same month, then the invoice payment can't be retried. The charge is automatically canceled at the end of the month. You must repurchase the Reserved Instance or Savings Plan.
Check if the invoice is for a domain registration: If the invoice is related to an Amazon Route 53 domain registration, renewal, or transfer, then create an AWS Support case. Make sure to select Account and Billing Support.
Check if the Complete payment option is greyed out: If the option is greyed out, then create an AWS Support case.
