The error you're encountering suggests that your application is exceeding the request rate limits for the AWS Bedrock service when using the Anthropic Claude 3.5 Sonnet model. This can happen even if you haven't made any recent changes to your code, as it's related to the volume of requests being made within a specific timeframe.

To address this issue and potentially increase your Bedrock invocation quotas, you can take the following steps:

  1. Check your current quotas: Review your Amazon Bedrock quotas in the AWS Management Console or using the AWS CLI. This will give you an idea of your current limits for API calls per account and region.

  2. Request a quota increase: If you find that your current quota is limiting your usage, you can open a support case with AWS to request an increase. You'll need to explain your use case and the need for a higher request rate. To do this, go to the AWS Support Center and create a case under "Account and billing."

  3. Implement request rate limiting: In your application, consider implementing a queue or rate limiting mechanism to manage the flow of requests to the Bedrock API. This can help prevent exceeding quotas and ensure smoother operation.

  4. Monitor and optimize: Use CloudWatch Metrics to monitor your API call patterns and set up alerts to notify you when you're approaching rate limits. Also, try to optimize your agent to process requests more quickly if possible.

  5. Consider batching: If applicable to your use case, try combining smaller requests into batch calls to reduce the frequency of API calls.

Keep in mind that due to high demand for Bedrock services, AWS may prioritize quota increase requests for customers who are consistently using their existing quota allocation. If you're not currently utilizing your full quota, your request for an increase might be denied.

If you continue to experience issues after reviewing and potentially increasing your quotas, it's advisable to contact AWS Support for further investigation and guidance specific to your account and use case.
