EC2 m5.2xlarge CPU speed query

I've launched an EC2 m5.2xlarge instance and Windows says the CPU specification is:

C:\Users\Administrator>wmic cpu get name, maxclockspeed, currentclockspeed
CurrentClockSpeed  MaxClockSpeed  Name
2500               2500           Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8259CL CPU @ 2.50GHz

But the AWS EC2 instance type page via the AWS console for a m5.2xlarge says:

Sustained clock speed (GHz)
3.1

Which is correct?

The specs for M5 instances at https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/ say "Up to 3.1 GHz Intel Xeon Platinum Processor" - so you may or may not get one at that speed.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know how I can actually get a AWS EC2 instance with a CPU clock speed greater than 2.5GHz?

You could check specs of different processors. For example M6i says "Up to 3.5 GHz 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors (Ice Lake 8375C)", and looking up 8375C on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Xeon_processors_(Ice_Lake-based) shows it's 2.9 GHz, Turbo Boost to 3.5 GHz.
