Custom name for a sample application

Question

Is it possible to give a custom name to the sample application used in a Cloud Formation template. I'm using the AWS provided sample app with the S3Key: java-sample-app.zip. When I deploy it using my template the name I see contains the name of the stack + the application name + an ID:

    Type: AWS::ElasticBeanstalk::Environment

        Ref: CustomerApplication5
      EnvironmentName: customerApp5
      Description: EB Test environment
      TemplateName:
        Ref: MyEBConfigurationTemplate
      VersionLabel:
        Ref: CustomerApplication5Version
```

Answer

You can change the property  " ApplicationName" under  resource CustomerApplication5 properties and that should help . For example

```
CustomerApplication5:
    Type: AWS::ElasticBeanstalk::Application
    DeletionPolicy: Retain
    Properties:
      ApplicationName: --------
```
 ```----- ``` could be replaced with what you wanted in application name.
