Email services using Cloudformation

1. Have you looked into SES(Simple Email Service) See this link you can use your own email addresses and domains.
2. With SES you will not have to deal with 3rd party services for price/contract negotiations, SES also integrates with other AWS services see here, you can also use CloudFormation with SES see CF

Amazon offers Workmail which is a managed email service. Amazon WorkMail is a managed email and calendaring service with strong security controls and support for existing desktop and mobile email clients. You can access your email, contacts, and calendars wherever you use Microsoft Outlook, your browser, or your iOS and Android mobile devices. Administrators can integrate Amazon WorkMail with existing corporate directories, controlling both the keys that encrypt their data and the location where the data is stored.

Additionally, Amazon also has a Simple Email Service (SES) which can used to run email campaigns for your company.

Mukul, thank you. A follow up question: does AWS offer marketing services, such as configuring and running email marketing campaigns? I working on building an AWS-native service, so it would be nice to have everything in one place.

AFAIK, AWS does not offer managed marketing services but AWS provides a set of building blocks like Amazon Pinpoint, Amazon Smart Business, and AWS for Marketers for customers to run their marketing campaigns and derive deep analytics from them. AWS also has a strong partner network and independent consultants through AWS IQ like me who help customers run their businesses.
