API Errors on the AWS Console

0

I am constantly getting these API Errors when using the AWS console dashboard. I have been told at least 1 other user has this same issue. When I first log in everything works okay, but within a few minutes I start seeing the errors. When this happens we cannot view any of our instances or make any changes. Sometimes refreshing the site or logging out and in will work for a short time, but the errors consistently come back. My user has AdministratorAccess permissions so I do not think it is an access rights issue. • It seems this is only happening when accessing AWS from our company network. Does anyone know what are the requirements for accessing the AWS Console? What other access does it need besides Http/Https?

Hello.

If you can determine that it is not an IAM permission issue, there may be a problem with the browser version or cache.
Does the same problem occur when accessing from other browsers or PCs?
Also, try connecting from another network.
You may be able to find out something by opening your browser's developer mode.

If the above does not resolve your issue, please contact AWS Support by opening a case under "Account and billing".
Inquiries under "Account and billing" can be made free of charge.

  • I have tried connecting from different PC's, different browsers, as well as another user account. I do have a AWS support ticket open, but so far they have told me to ask here and to pay for technical support.

Given that the issue reoccurs after a short period and affects multiple users, it seems likely that the problem is either with AWS itself or something network-related on your side. Here's what you can do:

  • Check AWS Service Health Dashboard: Visit the dashboard to see if there are any alerts for the services or the region you are using.
  • Check your own network's stability and see if there are any intermittent issues that might be causing the problem.
  • Try Different Network/VPN: Sometimes, corporate networks or VPNs can have configurations that intermittently block or throttle traffic to certain services.

  • I did check the Service Health Dashboard, there are no alerts for my region. I have tried from different PC's, I am going to test from another internet connection again tomorrow.
