How do I stop and start Amazon EC2 instances at regular intervals which are in ASG

Hi Experts,

Please advise on how to stop and start Amazon EC2 instances at regular intervals which are in ASG. Ideally requirement is to stop instances over weekend and start them on Monday early morning. In weekdays only instances in running state with autoscalling.

Hi,

You can setup scheduled scaling in Auto Scaling Groups to scale up and scale down your instance at predefined intervals. Ref: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/autoscaling/ec2/userguide/ec2-auto-scaling-scheduled-scaling.html
