Verified Email in region but 554 Message rejected: Email address is not verified

0

I have a verified email address and domain in correct region but I receive following postfix log:

to=<info@[removed].de>, relay=email-smtp.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com[3.126.224.62]:587, delay=12, delays=0.02/0.03/12/0.08, dsn=5.0.0, status=bounced (host email-smtp.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com[3.126.224.62] said: 554 Message rejected: Email address is not verified. The following identities failed the check in region EU-CENTRAL-1: info@[removed].de (in reply to end of DATA command))

If I use another verified domain/email to test it - it works. But can I check for the new email address to send emails from there?

Would suggest check on below:

  1. Check SES Sandbox Status Go to the SES Console for EU-CENTRAL-1 and check if your account is in the sandbox. • If yes: You must verify both the sender and recipient email addresses OR Request production access
  2. Verify the Email Address or Domain Even if the domain is verified, SES may still reject emails unless: • You’ve verified the exact email address (info@[removed].de) OR • You’ve verified the domain and moved out of the sandbox To verify: • Go to SES > Verified Identities • Click Create Identity • Choose Email Address and enter info@[removed].de • Follow the verification email link
  3. Double-Check the Region SES identity verification is region-specific. You must verify the email/domain in EU-CENTRAL-1, not just globally.

  • Thank you and all checks were made and were positive. The solution was a toally different one: I need to create a new SMTP User and Password. I don't know why but it worked.

Hey,

Hope you're keeping well.

In SES the “Email address is not verified” error means the exact sender identity isn’t recognized in that region. Even if the domain is verified, in the sandbox you must also verify the specific From address or move the account to production. Go to SES > Verified Identities in eu-central-1, confirm that info@[removed].de is listed and verified, or request production access so only the domain needs verification. Also make sure your SMTP credentials belong to the same region where the identity is verified, as SES does not share identities across regions.

Thanks and regards,
Taz
