AWS account refund charges

Hello, I just realized that I have several charges on my account, although I followed the steps to close my account as I only needed the free tier. How do I get a refund and how do I make sure I close my account so I dont have future charges. Thank you!

Hey there,

When closing an account it is important to check that you have deleted all resources in the account. You can verify this using AWS Cost Explorer, and verifying that no resources are present and incurring charges.
