SES IAM User - SES Dashboard displays Unknown error.

Hello everyone,

I've encountered the below error with an IAM user account on the SES dashboard.

"Unknown error Request failed with unknown error, ensure that you have the necessary permissions and that all fields have correct values."

Here are the AWS managed policies attached. AmazonSESFullAccess AmazonSNSFullAccess

Any assistance in helping me resolve this error is much appreciated.

  • Hi Utkarsh, thank you for pointing out. I have gone through the answer; assigned the managed policy AmazonSESReadOnlyAccess but for some reason the error still persists; perhaps I'm missing something. Would you be kind to help me out here. Not sure how to get rid of the error.

  • Try to Add AmazonSESReadOnlyAccess and AmazonSESFullAccess in Permissions policies not in Permissions Boundary. Then check it will work. !!

  • I've Reverified and confirm the permissions assigned are AmazonSESFullAccess AmazonSNSFullAccess and AmazonSESReadOnlyAccess and Permissions boundary (not set). Not sure what could be wrong.
