AWS IOT Commands

I want to use IOT-Core Commands feature to send a command to a Raspberry Pi, but I don't want a fixed payload. For example I can download wav files to the Pi, and I want to be able to send a command to play any one of the files downloaded. I would like to use python on the Pi to do this. I have the MQTT stack running.

Hi. The agent's answer was incorrect, so I deleted it. Dynamic/flexible payloads are not supported at this time.

For your use case, I either think shadows or custom MQTT topics would be a better fit at this time:
