AWS with Yubikey started asking me for PIN for console login

This week, AWS console started asking me for my Yubikey PIN after I touch the device. This is new - before this week I would just enter my username and password, them be prompted for 2FA, and touch the yubikey - no PIN.
Is this something new?

If you are being prompted for a PIN and do not have one associated with your key, please open a support case for help resolving the issue. The below mentioned change does not update the process to require a PIN for those who do not already have one associated to their key.
