I would not expect a lot from the designer feature ,,not helpful
Invest sometime in docs will not regret it specially the template anatomy part and then use the vscode cloud formation plugin will help u initially populate the template.
Cloud formation is great but designer is useless

Thank you for the directions, is there anyway could implement template, just mapping the components manually?
