Is There a Limit on the Maximum Number of Sub-Accounts we can request on AWS?

0

Hello,

I am in the process of developing an AWS training platform where I intend to offer hands-on labs for students to practice in real AWS environments. My goal is to allocate a dedicated AWS sub-account under an organization unit for each lab instance, which will be cleared and recycled for future labs.

I am aware that AWS sets an initial limit on the number of sub-accounts one can create and that this limit can potentially be increased through a quota request. However, my question revolves around the following:

Is there a hard limit on the maximum number of sub-accounts one can request to have?
Can the relative newness of my primary AWS account impact the approval of a request for a large number of sub-accounts, even if I demonstrate effective usage and management of my existing accounts?

Being able to exceed a high limit (ideally 1,000 or more sub-accounts) is crucial for the user-friendliness and security isolation of my training platform. Otherwise, I would have to manage multiple labs within a single account, leading to complications in resource isolation and a less intuitive user experience.

Thank you in advance for your guidance on this matter.
