0

I am not able to start my node server, when i enter my node server details with accurate key and ip info, It is saying session time out. Screenshot

  • could you do the following checks

Security Group: Ensure inbound traffic for SSH (port 22) is allowed. Network ACLs: Check that your VPC’s ACLs aren’t blocking traffic. SSH Key Issues: Ensure correct file permissions for the .pem file and that the correct key is used. Public IP: Verify that you're using the correct public IP for the instance. Check the server status and make sure it’s running and accessible.

Hello,

The error message "Connection timed out" indicates that the SSH connection to your AWS EC2 instance is failing.

Check your security group rules. Ensure that inbound traffic is allowed on port 22 from your IP address or a specific security group. If necessary, open the port accordingly. This should resolve the "Connection timed out" error.

Network Connectivity Issues:

  • Firewall Rules: Check if your AWS security group allows SSH traffic on port 22 (the default SSH port). If it doesn't, open the port accordingly.
  • Network Connectivity: Ensure that there are no network issues between your local machine and the AWS instance. Try pinging the instance's public IP address to check if it's reachable.
  • Instance Status: Verify that the instance is running and in a healthy state. If it's stopped or terminated, start the instance and wait for it to come online.

SSH Configuration Issues:

  • Key Pair: Make sure you're using the correct private key file (.pem file) associated with the key pair used to launch the instance. Double-check the file path and permissions.
  • SSH Client Configuration: If you're using a specific SSH client, ensure it's configured correctly. Check its settings for any relevant options that might be affecting the connection.

  • The image you provided shows that the Elastic IP address 65.1.29.54 is currently associated with a VPC. However, the associated instance ID is not shown. This means that there might be an issue with the instance itself, or the security group configuration for the instance might be preventing you from connecting.

    and

Review your security group rules and ensure inbound SSH traffic is allowed. If the issue persists, check for any terminated or stopped instances and review CloudWatch logs. If you're still unable to connect, contact AWS support for further assistance.

  • Contacting AWS Support AWS Support does not have a public phone number for direct calls. However, you can reach out to them through the following methods:

    1. Create a Support Case: Log in to your AWS Management Console.   Navigate to the Support Center.   Choose Create case.   Select the appropriate category, service, and severity for your issue.   Provide detailed information about your problem.
    2. Contact Us Form: Visit the AWS Contact Us page: https://aws.amazon.com/contact-us/ Fill out the form with your information and query.
    3. AWS Support Community Forums: Connect with other AWS users and potentially find solutions to your problems in the AWS Forums.   Note: The method you choose will depend on the urgency and complexity of your issue. For urgent matters, creating a support case is generally the most effective approach.
