New Lightsail User - Issue Accessing Websites and Downloading

Hey, all:

I am BRAND new to lightsail, though I do have some other experience with VPS. Anyway, I created my instance and can open up my Windows desktop via lightsail. The first thing I want to do is download some programs to use via my new VPS. But I'm having big time issues accessing web sites and downloading via the IE browser on the desktop.

1. I would like to download Chrome, but when I navigate to the Chrome website, the download button does not work. I can see the button, but nothing happens when I push it. I've ensured that the Google download site is Trusted, but that doesn't help.

2. I am trying to log into my ig.com account, but when I navigate to IG.com then hit the link to their login page, nothing happens. Again, I've ensured IG.com is "Trusted", but that doesn't help.

3. I am trying to navigate to my Fidelity brokerage account, but the Fidelity website doesn't load correctly via the IE browser in my lightsail Windows desktop.

What am I missing? Is there some setting that I'm not changing to allow basic website loading, login and download to work? At this point the desktop is worthless to me. Super frustrated. Appreciate any help!
