API Gateway failing to import api definition with Internal server error

Question

Hi:

I'm trying to apply a new api definition to my http api gateway and I'm hitting error: 
An error occurred (InternalServerException) when calling the ReimportApi operation (reached max retries: 4): Internal server error

Even if I export the latest configuration and try to reimport it ... it fails. Latest configuration was edited by hand by a devops engineer that does not work here anymore.

How's possible that latest configuration export cannot be imported again ?

Hello there,

This error usually happens if the API configuration is too large. For example, if the number of VPC links, routes or any other resource or operation quota is exceeded.
The suggested workaround is to reduce the size of API configuration or increase the resource/operation quota if it supports quota increase.
