I am unable to create a new account as it says it already exists.

I had an account with AWS, and I deleted it about 6-12 months ago. I am trying to recreate one again. However, when I do, I am getting the following error message saying that the account already exists: Enter image description here

Afraid you are unable to reuse a previously used email address when setting up an account.

You can reopen an account if closed within the last 90 days. Other than that you need to create with a new email address.

I see you are using gmail. What you can do is append +anotherword on your existing email eg

Joe.bloggs+two@gmail.com and you should receive emails at Joe.bloggs@gmail.com Test this out.
