Amazon SES - email receiving missing

All of my services (lambda, ec2, rds, etc.) are in us-east-2 (Ohio). Today, I created a SES Identity but accidentally created it in us-east-1 (Virginia). Since I need SES to call a lambda in 2, I deleted it and recreated it in 2. I noticed that "Email Receiving" is a link when I go into us-east-1 but it is not there when I am in 2. Why would it be missing?
