LightSail configuration

Unfortunately, I cannot be very specific -

We are currently using LightSail for our production WordPress website. We have an exact copy of the site for testing on a different service, 1blu.de.

Issue: On the LightSail system there are a few random things that don't work (drop down menu that doesn't appear, there is a certificate that cannot be accessed, etc.). The copy running on 1blue.de is a bit for bit duplication - exact copy.

Question: 1) Are there server parameters that are specific to LightSail that might be different from other managed servers and 2) would you recommend moving the site over to a EC2 instance?

I know this is a very vague question but I am not looking for any specific answers, just wondering if the LightSail setup is restricted in any ways that, maybe, an EC2 instance would not be.
