Is it possible to use IPA within amazon lex utterances?

Question

Is it possible to integrate International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) symbols into utterances..?

So if I have an utterance such as 'blue' but it is consistently misheard, can I add the IPA equivalent as an utterance (Blu:) and would that help..?

Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Additionally, if it's a matter of audio not being clear enough, please consider increasing volume with `` tag or enabling dynamic range compression with `` (all documented on the page linked above).
