When will multi-region support for Aurora multi-master become available?

Hello,

Aurora multi-master was launched 3 years ago and currently supports only multiple writer databases within a single region. In this amazon aws article the author states that Support for more writer nodes and placement of writers in multiple Regions is planned for future releases.

I know that in february version 2 of aurora multi-master will go online. Will this version include the ability to have read-write database across multiple regions? If not then when will this feature be included?
