Inbound calling not enabled on the claimed number for 24 hours

I was trying out Amazon Connect and I claimed a number yesterday. I was able to make outbound calls but when I make an incoming call to the number from my Verizon phone it gives me a message that Verizon couldn't complete the call as dialed. I checked that Incoming call is enabled in the console, the agent is in available state but still I get this message even after 24 hours. Is this expected behavior?

Have you tried it from your cell phone as a different source, just in case verizon is blocking this or is control through the dial plan?

I presume your contact flow has been assigned to the number and published?

Did you check the contact flow logs (if you enbaled them) to see if the contact reached your flow?

I have tried from couple of other cell phones. They just shows call failed. It is as if the number is not active. The contact flow screen has 19 contact flows by default. I have a basic queue configured. I didn't see a screen for any specific contact flow assignment to the queue. Also checked the contact log directory there are no logs so the call hasn't reached Connect
