For those who come to this post later. We didn't find any response why AWS rejected our request for production access, we took follow up, but nobody responded. Thus we had to sendgrid email service, which provides good support.

Hello Elle G, We have not received any updates from the SES team. A response from the AWS team would be appreciated, as it would provide clarity on whether we should continue using SES or explore alternative third-party mail services. Having clear communication on the status of our request will assist us in making informed decisions regarding our email service provider.
