EC2 Instance cannot be shut down or terminated (stuck in "Running" state)

Hello,

I'm encountering an issue when attempting to stop or terminating my instance. I received the error message: "Failed to stop the instance i-069e4a55abb2b10ce. This instance 'i-069e4a55abb2b10ce' is not in a state where it can be stopped." Despite following all the steps in this webpage, the VM remains stuck in the Running state. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Did you try the --force option via the AWS CLI for EC2? It can be stronger than the interactive console to stop stalled instances.
