Timeout sending messages

Hey everyone.

I'm getting a timeout when trying to send messages:
ERROR Error when sending message to topic test with key: null, value: 4 bytes with error: (org.apache.kafka.clients.producer.internals.ErrorLoggingCallback)
org.apache.kafka.common.errors.TimeoutException: Failed to update metadata after 60000 ms.

I have properly setup the cluster (which has ACTIVE state), and created a couple of topics (which I can list properly as well) using a client machine created using the guide with its security group added to the security group of the cluster nodes. Somehow though, I can't send messages.

Can anyone please help me troubleshoot my issue?
