SES - Dedicated IP (Managed) not working

1

I've registered to Dedicated IP Managed service. Added 1 Dedicated IPs managed pool. Added this pool to the configuration set, and started to use this set when sending emails from my website. Hover emails still seems to be sent from old IPs, event these that seem to be on blacklists. I'm not sending a lot of emails, from few hundred a day to max 5-6 thousands. How can I check what IPs are added to my Managed pool? There is some link to cloudwatch but I cannot find anything in there. Also I don't think I would need mora than 1 IP, as I said I'm not sanding too many emails. AWS is recommending to stay with shared IPs, but it is not a good choice for me, as shared IPs are constantly being added to blacklists, and I have problems with some of IPS like hotmail, yahoo, icloud. Even if I have configured spf, dkim, dmarc properly.

  • Did you eventually get a dedicated IP address automatically assigned? I'm also curious if the Cloudwatch link ever populated with data for you or it remains blank?

Hello,

If you are using dedicated IPs (Managed), you have no control over the number of the IPs assigned to your IP pool. This number is going up and down as per your sending pattern, and is controlled by AWS, which is the main goal behind having AWS Managed Dedicated IP. Please note that the dedicated IPs (managed) feature will automatically allocate your first dedicated IP address once your sending volume reaches hundreds of emails over a period of a few days. This ensures that the IP you send from can build a sending reputation and improve deliverability. (If you don’t expect your sending volume to be at this level, you should be using shared IP addresses.

After you create your managed IP pool, a link will automatically be generated in the CloudWatch metrics column in the All Dedicated IPs (managed) pools table in the SES console, that when selected, will open the Amazon CloudWatch console and display your sending reputation at an effective daily rate with specific ISPs for the managed pool using the following metrics:

Available24HourSend Indicates how much volume the managed pool has available to send towards a specific ISP.

SentLast24Hours Indicates how much volume of email has been sent through the managed pool by dedicated IPs towards an specific ISP.

For more about that, please refer to this link https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/managed-dedicated-sending.html

Many thanks! Mo
