IoT Sitewise modeling assets with time-series categorical data?

Goal: use time-series categorical data to creat an asset model in IoT Sitewise. Examples, include words for alarm states like Warning, Alarm, Healthy. Documentation indicates only measurements can be used. Examples include RPM, vibration RMS. I want to use both categorical and measurement. Both have the same date stamps.

AWS IoT Sitewise does support STRING Value for Measurements . You should be able to store A string with up to 1024 bytes as a "Measurement". You may use this to store categorical data.
