Unavailability of AWS IoT Sitewise connector in Greengrass Group - Add Connector Tab

Hi,

Hopefully My question may be simple but I am missing the procedure or else due to beginner skills.

My question was, I am Unable to get / see the IOT Sitewise connector in Green grass group for addition. [ at this stage, Greengrass installed & deployed on EC2, Sitewise Gateway created and installation file downloaded but not installed ]

--> I believe that my installation steps or policies are missing. so, Please provide the detailed procedure, i.e. step by step guide for better understanding of sitewise and Greengrass installation.

Hi Pawan. Are you using Greengrass v1? Greengrass v1 is deprecated and shouldn't be used for new projects: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/greengrass/v2/developerguide/migrate-from-v1.html

As per my answer to your other question, SiteWise gateways are best created using the SiteWise service. This is the procedure when using GGv2: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot-sitewise/latest/userguide/create-gateway-ggv2.html

In the case of GGv1, you can find more information here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot-sitewise/latest/userguide/gateways-ggv1.html

    Yes, I am confused with the steps followed individually form Greengrass device & Sitewise Gateway documentation. Now i am clear and successfully created & deployed. [ Key point missed: Gateway installer step need to complete in Core device PC and then need to validate the Greengrass core device status ]
