will amazon braket job be cancelled if I stop the sagemaker?

0

Hi, I'm a new sagemaker user, and I'm trying to understand how it works. I submit jobs to Aquila, an amazon braket device, on sagemaker. After submitting I see the job is queued. Now if I delete my sagemaker instance, would my job be cancelled? Since I'm in free tier, I'm trying to use 250 free hours considerably. And actually another question related to this: after hitting 250 hours, or after my 2 free months, how much money does it cost me to use sagemaker?

Thanks for the info! Ceren.

Hello, thank you for your question!

  1. No, your job would not be cancelled. Your Hybrid Job runs on a classical instance managed by Amazon Braket. It is unrelated to any SageMaker notebook instances you might have running in your account.
  2. Please refer to the SageMaker pricing page https://aws.amazon.com/sagemaker/pricing/ to see how much SageMaker will cost to use beyond the Free Tier.

You can also verify your Hybrid Job status anytime from the Amazon Braket console. If you sign in to your AWS Management Console, you can search for the Amazon Braket service. Once you reach the Amazon Braket console page, you should see "Hybrid Jobs" listed in the side navigation bar. If you click that, you can see the jobs you've submitted and their status for the current region. Check the top navigation bar to be sure that you're in the right region (us-east-1 for Aquila).
