FreeBSD On-Premises server migraton to AWS

0

I am trying to migrating On-Premises FreeBSD(9.1, 10.3, 12.2) servers which are in vmware to AWS.

What I tried

I tried to follow the link mentioned below but ended up with error ""Status": "deleted", "StatusMessage": "ClientError: No valid partitions. Not a valid" volume."

I tried uploading FreeBSD(9.3 and 10.3) both OVA and RAW format. Still it didn't help. I tried upload Ubuntu 20.04 and it worked well.

Hello Bazil

Unfortunately none of the currently available tools for migration VM Import/Export, AWS Server Migration Service, CloudEndure or AWS MGN,However. None of the tools provide a direct solution to import or migrate for FreeBSD OS. if you wants to use a FreeBSD environment in AWS EC2, the only option at this stage is obtaining an AMI in AWS marketplace [1]
