Requester M-Turk payment

1

Hey there,

I set up a survey campaign on M-Turk and want to pay...

So many people have the same issue - and AWS does not take care of it... Why can´t I spend money?!

it says that I have exceeded my monthly credit limit, please see our FAQs to learn more.

https://www.mturk.com/help#postpaid_billing_limits

I would also be willing to pre-purchase credits - but this is apparently also not possible.

Can you please help me how I can spend money on this service?!

I have found the below steps that have helped other people with this:

I understand your frustration. It can be very frustrating when you are trying to spend money and you are unable to do so.

According to the MTurk FAQ you linked, new MTurk requesters have a monthly credit limit of $100. This limit is in place to protect new requesters from overspending. If you have exceeded your monthly credit limit, you will need to request a credit limit increase.

To request a credit limit increase, you can follow these steps:

Go to the MTurk website and sign in to your account. Click on the "Account Settings" tab. Click on the "Billing" tab. Click on the "Request a Credit Limit Increase" button. Enter the amount of the credit limit increase you would like to request. Click on the "Submit" button. Once you have submitted your request, MTurk will review your request and will either approve or deny your request. If your request is approved, your credit limit will be increased.

you can also buy pre credit

  • I did not get and still do not have a 100 USD limit. I tried with only 14 USD. Besides here I also contacted support and it still does not work that I can spend the money after 48 hours...

There is also no credit limit increase button on the page:

In the my account section of the page I see only this information:

"Billing details: Your account is configured to pay using AWS billing. Learn more= https://www.mturk.com/help#enable_aws_billing

Your MTurk account is associated with your AWS account."

    Thanks for your help.
