Composite Bucket Aggregation Support in AWS Opensearch Service

0

Hello,

Opensearch supports the following Bucket Aggregations. https://opensearch.org/docs/latest/aggregations/bucket/index/

However, Looks like Composite Aggregation works with the AWS manage service offering. https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/search-aggregations-bucket-composite-aggregation.html

Is there any reason behind exclusion from the documented list ? Are there any plans to deprecate or limit the feature in the near future if we go ahead and use it?

Hello,

OpenSearch has been derived from ElasticSearch 7.10 and whatever features are supported in this version is supported in OpenSearch too. Although the same documentation of Composite Aggregation is not available in OpenSearch docs. Also, there is no plan to depreciate or stop supporting Composite Aggregation as of now. If something like this is ever decided then it will be informed well in advanced to the users.

Thank you!
