Reading QR and Barcodes?

Question

Textract seems not yet supporting the decoding of barcodes and QR codes. Anyone is using/is aware of any robust alternative solution, preferably in AWS, no Marketplace?  
  
Note: Rekognition can detect a QR code, but is not able to decode it.

Hi!
While the Service Team implements this feature, here you have a workaround using zbar and lambda. 
I'm still working on making the content available in aws-samples so the cloudformation template is not working right now. But you can configure your lambda functions in the "Deploying in Additional Regions"!

Thank you for your feedback. Amazon Textract does not support QR and bar codes currently. We have taken note of your request and added this feature to our backlog. Various factors affect feature releases, and we are unable to provide specific release times at this point.
