Is it possible to change the SenderID of the SMS Sandbox number verification message ?

0

I am not receiving any verification messages from AWS that is because my UK mobile operator EE/BT are blocking SMS messages that have a senderID of NOTIFY. No way around it until the operator changes their blocking filter.

I am trying to register my number as an SNS subscriber , but 1st I need to verify my number. The verification message never reaches my mobile for the reason in the 1st sentence.

Is it possible to change the SenderID of the sandbox verification SMS messages sent to a mobile number ? or do I have to apply to remove the Sandbox so I can change the SenderID ?

Thanks

You can try to configure the default Sender ID and sending SMS messages again. Follow the steps in SNS console to setup Default Sender ID - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/sns/latest/dg/sms_preferences.html#sms_preferences_console

I hope with this default Sender ID configured, SNS will pick this up automatically to send SMS messages. Confirm if this works here.
