aws-cli release notes points to v1, should it be v2?

0

I noticed that https://aws.amazon.com/cli refers to the v2 CLI but the link to Release Notes takes the user to https://github.com/aws/aws-cli/blob/develop/CHANGELOG.rst , whereas I think it would be more appropriate for it to link to https://github.com/aws/aws-cli/blob/v2/CHANGELOG.rst instead.

Is that an oversight or is it really meant to refer to the older v1 version even though most of the page seems to refer to v2?

Hello.

I think that the only explanation for v2 is the text below, and the rest explains things that can be used in both v1 and v2.
https://aws.amazon.com/cli/

The AWS CLI v2 offers several new features including improved installers, new configuration options such as AWS IAM Identity Center (successor to AWS SSO), and various interactive features.

Also, since v1 itself is still supported, I thought there would be no problem even if the release notes used the v1 URL.

However, v1 itself is an older version, so I think v2 is better for basic use.
