Limit of default internet access in AppStream

0

When creating an AppStream image or fleet I get the error messages:

  • The Maximum ImageBuilders limit with default internet access was exceeded. Requested: 2, Limit: 1
  • The Maximum fleets limit with default internet access was exceeded. Requested: 2, Limit: 1 There is no error when I do not "Enable default internet access", but then I do not have access to Internet from the Image Builder or the streamed session. The docu indicates that the default internet access can be used up to 100 instances, I have a max session of 1! Is the docu incorrect and I need the expensive NAT GW if I want 2 images with few users and Internet Access? I also did not find a related Service Quota to increase.

The document is correct. By default you should be able to launch more than one Image Builder or Fleet using the default internet access method.

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/appstream2/latest/developerguide/limits.html

Please raise a limit increase request so that default limits can be looked into and adjusted accordingly. Please request for the review and adjustment of following limits. You may not see these limits in Service Quotas so please mention these limits.

Max Image Builders With Default Internet Access
Max Fleets With Default Internet Access

Thank You
