Try this to fix:
- Send a Permission Request
IAM policy suppose to:
{
"Effect": "Allow",
"Action": "bedrock:ListCustomModelDeployments",
"Resource": "*"
}
-
Check Model Access Settings Even with permissions, you might need to enable access to specific foundation models in Amazon Bedrock. You can do this in the AWS Console under: Amazon Bedrock → Model access

Lab-Specific Issues If you're using AWS Cloud Quest or a sandbox environment, some labs have preconfigured roles that don’t include all Bedrock permissions. You might need to: • Switch to a different role • Use a lab-specific console link • Ask the lab provider to update the environment
Hello.
The error is caused by the IAM you are using not allowing "bedrock:ListCustomModelDeployments".
However, it is highly likely that you will not be able to configure IAM in the Cloud Quest lab environment, so please contact the AWS training team using the URL below.
When making an inquiry, please change the "Inquiry details" as follows:

Unlike the normal management console, the lab environment of cloud quest is partially restricted in operation. Therefore, you may not be able to set up IAM freely. Additionally, enabling model access does not allow ListCustomModelDeployments. This answer cannot solve the problem.
