RDS Oracle EE options

Question

A customer is looking to migrate their Oracle EE to RDS Oracle BYOL. They are using Security and Partitioning features, and per our [documentation][1], this is supported under Oracle RDS BYOL. Does the customer need to open a support ticket to actually enable/install these options for their RDS Oracle instance? What are the steps? What is the average time needed to provision the EE options on a Oracle RDS instance?

Accepted Answer

As Amazon RDS Oracle currently supports BYOL, customers do not need to open support ticket install supported features. but whether customer be able to use it or not depends on their BYOL and additional options, packs they purchased from oracle.

Other features like Oracle Application Express, Oracle Enterprise Manager etc. needs to enabled through Options Groups.
