I'm going to migrate data from nfs server to s3 bucket with AWS dataSync. but the thing is that I want to set the s3 prefix with directory path in nfs server. kindly let me know if it is possible and how. if there's no way to preserve the directory path, please let me know other aws data migration service which can

Hi,

As per the FAQ, pls see below:

Q: Does Amazon DataSync preserve the directory structure when copying files? A: Yes. When transferring files, Amazon DataSync creates the same directory structure on the destination as on the source location's structure.

I think this video will also help you understand an E2E example of NFS with DataSync and then mount the S3 location using a File Gateway which will ultimately emulate your NFS at the source.
