Request for addition of TLD ".bayern" to Route 53

0

Hi Route 53 team, I own a domain with the TLD '.bayern' and would like to transfer it to Route 53. As the TLD is not available for registration/transfer at the moment I request to add the TLD '.bayern' to Route 53. Thanks in advance.

Hello, thank you for reaching out.

I understand that you are requesting to allow .bayern TLD Transfer to Route 53

Registering .bayern TLD within Route 53 is on the roadmap with no public ETAs.

Having said that, you can create a Hosted Zone for .bayern domain in Route53 to use it as your DNS service provider. This means you can point your name servers at your current registrar to Route 53 to manage your DNS.

Additionally, Route 53 Domains is currently directly accredited with .com, .net, and .org registries. All other TLDs are provided via third party registrar associates. To improve our level of service and support, we are actively working to become directly accredited with all other TLDs. In addition to improving our existing offering, we will become accredited with other registries to expand our TLD catalog. This work is currently in progress. We do not currently have dates to share for adding new TLDs.

I recommend subscribing to https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2022/ and filtering for "Networking & Content Delivery > Amazon Route 53" for updates specific to Route 53.

Thanks!
