Can't find old access key in IAM users list

0

I have an API which is working with S3. There is an access key which I can't find in the list of IAM users, that key created about 4 years ago. It means I can't delete/disable it. Where I can find all my actual access keys and disable some old keys? Thank you!

Using the access keys, run this CLI command:

aws sts get-caller-identity

That will show the account number and IAM user for those keys.

This key was created by root user long ago - that was the reason.

  • Best to not use root user access keys, especially when IAM user keys will work.
