How to change path of the log file

Hello everyone, I'm currently running a PHP application on an EC2 instance. I'm looking to change the location of the log file. Despite attempting to update the php.ini file in the /etc directory and restarting the instance, I've had no success. The value of 'error_log' remains unchanged.

How can I successfully change the log file location?
