Hello,
Amplify currently doesn't support the specified region. However, Amplify uses a content delivery network (CDN) to improve website performance. This means content is delivered through a large network of servers, potentially improving load times for users.
For requesting new features, please use the provided link. Feature requests can take a long time to be implemented, so please be patient.
I hope this information is helpful!
Thank you for your request regarding the addition of the Jakarta region (ap-southeast-3) to AWS Amplify. I understand your desire for better performance and lower latency for your applications in Southeast Asia.
Currently, AWS Amplify Hosting is available in 20 AWS Regions, which include several in the Asia Pacific area such as Hong Kong, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Mumbai, Singapore, and Sydney. However, the Jakarta region is not yet listed among the supported regions for AWS Amplify Hosting.
It's important to note that AWS continually evaluates and expands its service offerings across different regions based on customer demand and other factors. While the Jakarta region is available for some AWS services, it has not been announced as a supported region for AWS Amplify at this time.
AWS does recognize the importance of the Southeast Asian market, as evidenced by the existing support for regions like Singapore. However, I cannot speculate on or promise future regional expansions for specific services.
For the most up-to-date information on AWS Amplify's regional availability, I recommend keeping an eye on official AWS announcements and documentation. If the Jakarta region becomes available for AWS Amplify in the future, it would likely be communicated through official AWS channels.
In the meantime, you might consider using the closest available region to Jakarta for your AWS Amplify projects, which would likely be Asia Pacific (Singapore) to minimize latency as much as possible given the current options.
