Cannot use AWS domain name

I have set up lightsail instance, and purchased a domain through AWS. On my instance it says "The following domains will resolve to either the IPv6 address, or static IP address of this instance." and below that my domain appears, yet typing the name in the browser does not work. I have tried assigning name to both static ip and ipv6 and neither works. under Edit Name Servers, it says "Using Lightsail name servers" yet it still does not work. frustrated. Any help?

Answering my own question. I deleted my route 53 Zone and waited several hours. it works now...
