IPAM info for new VPC and Existing VPC

0

IHAC who like to implement the IPAM and have following questions .

(1)After creating an IPAM, we want to make sure that we can point a VPC to IPAM and IPAM will assign subnets to VPC (2)If we have existing VPC that overlap with IPAM, we want to make sure IPAM is aware of those subnets and will not assign duplicate subnets to new VPC (3)We want to have a parent account where we enable/configure IPAM, and then child accounts will get their subnets from the parent account, will this work?

You can create a custom allocation to reserve space in your IPAM pool, for example, to represent an on-premises network or any other existing network

After that you can be sure that IPAM will not provide this CIDR to others. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/vpc/latest/ipam/manually-allocate-ipam.html
